The Pappases were installed into the Founders' Society at a ceremony in 2012. Dean Pappas was a 1962 graduate of Dickinson and Zoë is a graduate of Wellesley. Upon graduation from Dickinson, Dean joined his father at the family business, Clement Pappas, a food processing and juice bottling firm, where he remained until he retired in 2011, while Zoë has enjoyed serving as docent at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for many years. Dean and Zoë are both very committed to education, the arts, and public service. They are long-term supporters of Dickinson and have helped the college advance institutional diversity priorities – most notable is their long-standing dedication to our Posse program. Their most recent gift to Dickinson, The Dean '62 and Zoe Pappas Scholarship, acknowledges their commitment to provide access to a liberal arts education by endowing a scholarship that will provide significant support each year, in perpetuity.
