Barbara Rynk Reynolds '34 made a lasting impact on Dickinson with her decision to leave a part of her estate to the college. By supporting student life, she has ensured that generations of Dickinsonians will benefit from the distinctive residential liberal-arts experience she valued.
Proud of her German heritage, Reynolds majored in German at Dickinson. She was also a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Greek and German Clubs. She attended the college with her holder brother, Stanley Rynk, and his wife, Angela Rynk, who were members of the class of 1933. Ms. Reynolds remembered her time at Dickinson fondly throughout her life.
After graduating Dickinson, Reynolds began her career as a librarian and then became an English and German teacher when she moved with her husband, George Reynolds, to Camden, N.J. She taught in the Woodbury School District for 25 years.
