Professor Mary E. Moser received her bachelor's degree in Latin from Dickinson in 1972 and her doctoral degree in classical archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. She started teaching at Dickinson in 1982. Professor Moser could read six languages proficiently and had been the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. During her tenure at Dickinson she was recognized as the 1987 recipient of the Constance and Rose Ganoe Award for Inspirational Teaching and 1994 winner of the Distinguished Teaching Award, the college's highest teaching honor.
